This year marks 70 years of the liberation and the end of WWII for Denmark.
 
Despite the fact that The Museum of Danish Resistance recently burned down, the callsign OZ5MAY will be on the air in memory of those who risked their lives.
 
OZ5MAY will be active on May 4 and May 5 - in the evening after 19:30 Danish time (17:30 UTC) and several hours ahead. It will be possible to work OZ5MAY on 40, 30 and perhaps also 20 meters. Changing band depending on the conditions and activity.

SU0ERA - World Amateur Radio Day and Cairo Science Festival

The Egyptian Radio Amateurs Society For Development (ERASD) will be celebrating with the millions of Radio Amateurs, World Amateur Radio Day. Every April 18, radio amateurs worldwide take to the airwaves in celebration of World Amateur Radio Day It was on that day in 1925 that the International Amateur Radio Union was formed in Paris. ERASD invite many guests which include the National Telecommunications Regulator Authority NTRA and the Cairo International Scout Center also we focus on the young persons especially scouts and school children who we hope will continue the development of amateur radio on SU-Land. during this day ERASD Members will operate HF band and workshop for Radio equipment for the new radio amateurs, data shows and video and discussion about Amateur Radio Licenses in SU-Land. There is a surprise from ERASD to all Radio amateurs ( Pyramids Merit Award ) Free for every station make QSO with SU0ERA society station during 18 April 2015.

4U0ITU

The International Amateur Radio Club (IARC) of ITU, 4U1ITU will be taking part in the celebrations of World Radio Day, Friday 13th of February which also marks the kick-off for the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the International Telecommunication Union. The special call 4U0ITU (counts as ITU HQ, DXCC Entity code 117) will be inaugurated by the President of IARU Mr. Timothy S Ellam, VE6SH accompanied by ITU Secretary General Mr. Houlin Zhao, other elected officials and VIPs. IARC will be using the callsign 4U0ITU for the rest of 2015, until the World Radio Conference WRC-15, 2 – 27 November 2015. All QSO will be confirmed, QSL information can be found on QRZ.com

Celebration of 90 years with International Amateur Radio Union

SPECIAL EVENT CALL OZ9ØIARU

On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of IARU, Danish radio amateurs will be QRV with a special event call, OZ9ØIARU, in the period from January 1st until December 31st, 2015

All bands inclusive WARC-bands and all modes may be used. Exceptions are cross-mode, cross-band contacts and contacts via repeater and echo-link.

All QSOs will be verified via LoTW and eQSL.

 Paper QSL may be requested via http://www.clublog.org/logsearch/OZ90IARU - Please click on "Request QSL card" after you have searched our log. You may have QSL via Bureau for free or you can pay to get it direct via postal mail.

 Paper QSL-request via postal mail. Please send a SAE and include 1 IRC or 3 USD to cover return postage. Please inform us with Call, date, UTC, band and mode and send your request to our QSL manager OZ0J.

IRC - must be the new type "Water of Life", valid until December 31st 2017.

QSL card with insufficient payment will be returned via bureau.
