ASTRONAUT FRANK DE WINNE TALKS TO CIENCIA VIVA MUSEUM IN LISBON, PORTUGAL

Thursday, October 1, 2009, the Ciencia Viva Museum in Lisbon, Portugal, performed an ARISS contact with astronaut Frank de Winne. The contact was a telebridge between onboard station NA1SS and the ARISS telebridge ground station ON4ISS in Belgium, operated by Philippe Van houte, ON5PV. Gaston Bertels ON4WF was the moderator of the contact.

ASTRONAUT Nicole Stott KE5GJN TALKS WITH “ALIGHIERI - TREVIGI” SCHOOL

Friday, 02 October 2009 at 14:41 UTC, i.e. 16:41 local time, “Alighieri - Trevigi” School, Casale Monferrato, Italy, established a direct contact with astronaut Nicole Stott KE5GJN on board the International Space Station. The Amateur Radio school station operated the contact with callsign IK1SLD.

ASTRONAUT FRANK DE WINNE TO TALK WITH HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN BELGIUM

An International Space Station ARISS contact has been planned for astronaut Frank De Winne with students at Sint-Michielscollege Brasschaat, Belgium. Sint-Michielscollege Brasschaat (SMCB), Belgium is located in a suburban area, NE of Antwerp. The school provides primary and secondary education to respectively 600 and 900 students.  1500 students, aged 6 to 18, participated to the preparation of the space talk and will assist to the event. 

The contact will be a direct operated by ground station ON7RT, Wednesday October 7, 2009 at 10:21 UTC, which is 12:21 CEST.  Downlink signals will be audible over Central Europe on 145.800MHz FM. The contact will be distributed on *AMSAT* and *JK1ZRW* EchoLink servers.

ARISS school contact to be webcast

An ARISS School Contact with Trevigi Lower Secondary School in Casale Monferato, Italy has been announced by News Bulletin Monday 28 September. The downlink signals of this direct contact will be audible over Europe on 145.800MHz FM. The contact is scheduled Friday 2 October 2009 at 14:46 UTC, which is 16:46 CEST. This contact will be distributed on *AMSAT* and *JK1ZRW* EchoLink servers.
