High Speed Telegraphy (HST)

7th IARU R1 HST Championship, Rawa Mazowiecka,Poland

The 7th IARU R1 HST Championship took place from 5-9 October in Rawa Mazowiecka, Poland. The event was organized by the Polish radioamateur union ( PZK ). The championship was very well organized and all members of the OC, together with the employees of the hotel Tatar deserve full recommendation for the outstanding job. Some outstanding results were made during the competition. Two (2) world records were achieved. The magic border of 300 figures/min for the ladies is now history. Hanna Shavialenka EW8NK from Belarus is a holder of the new world record in receiving figures. All results as well as the list of present World records is available on R1 web site.

By the unanimous decision of the HSTWG the host of the next 9th IARU HST World Championship is German amateur radio club DARC and the city of Bielefeld.

7th IARU Region1 HST Championship

According to the decision of the IARU Region 1 Executive Commitee on 18.04.2010 the 7th IARU-R1 HST Championship will take place from 5-9 October 2010 in Rawa Mazowiecka, Poland. The venue is located about 80 km south-west of the capital Warszawa and 25 km south-east from Skierniewice the closest bigger city in the area.

Calendar of HST competition in 2010

According to the unanimous decision of the HSTWG, confirmed by the EC of IARU-Region1, the Polish radiamateur society PZK has been officially nominated as host for the next IARU R1 HST Championship 2010. The championship will take place in the city of Skierniewice located about 50 km south-west of Warsaw and is tentatively scheduled for the beginning of October.  The exact dates will be determined shortly. More details will be available soon....

8th World HST Championship Final Results

BELARUS team crowned the overall winner of 8th World HST Championship. This year's chamionship had more participants than ever before, achieved four world records and many, many smiles, new friendships and memories for life. Special thanks to the BULGARIAN FEDERATION OF RADIO AMATEURS (BFRA) for a successful and very well organized event. Final Team classification is: 1 BELARUS, 2 RUSSIA, 3 ROMANIA, 4 HUNGARY, 5 BULGARIA, 6 GERMANY, 7 POLAND, 8 UKRAINE, 9 UNITED STATES, 10 MONGOLIA, 11 SERBIA, 12 REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA, 13 ITALY, 14 MOLDOVA
