Radio amateurs responding to flooding in Malaysia

The Malaysian Amateur Radio Transmitters’ Society( MARTS ) is requesting 7.110MHz is kept clear in their area as they respond to a declared flood disaster in Papar District, Sabah, East Malaysia.

7.110 MHz is designated as their official emergency channel for relief and rescue communications following the IARU bandplan for Emergency Centre of Activity frequencies. 

They request all radio amateurs to:
✅ Vacate 7.110 MHz immediately
✅ Give priority to emergency traffic
✅ Relay messages if requested by control stations
✅ Avoid unrelated transmissions
