The IARU Region 1 EMC Committee is a permanent committee of IARU Region 1 which:
- makes input to the development of EMC related legislation and standards for the proper protection of amateur radio spectrum
- exchanges information related to all aspects of electromagnetic compatibility,
- provides guidance on EMC to IARU Member Societies,
- monitors developments in technology so as to identify possible EMC issues

The EMC Committee Chairman Coordinates the work of the Committee. All Member Societies of IARU Region 1 may nominate a member of the EMCCommittee.
