Ageng, YB1BTM, Emergency Communications Co-Ordinator for IARU Region 3 reports that in response to the current volcanic activity in Indonesia the Organisasi Amatir Radio Indonesia ( ORARI ) will activate emergency communications operations from 11 to 24th September 2026
Radio amateurs are kindly requested to avoid causing interference and to give priority to emergency traffic on the following frequencies:
7.110 MHz Voice emergency communications
7.100 MHz USB JS8Call data communications
145.880 MHz Uplink to the LAPAN-A2/IO-86 satellite
435.880 MHz Downlink from the LAPAN-A2/IO-86 satellite
Operators are encouraged to maintain a listening watch where possible and to follow any further operational announcements issued by ORARI.
